Store and Reheat Instructions

Sometimes we aren’t sure if smoked meat stores well, or for very long, or if reheating smoked meats is a good idea. But if done right, you can reheat your leftovers and still enjoy that great smokey flavor. Let us help with that.

Storage

Portion out into the container of choice. Evenly distribute over the meat any liquid left in the pan, as this will help in the reheating process. Place in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Reheat

For a slow process: Place the product in an oven-safe container.  Turn oven on to 170 degrees.  This could take several hours to reheat, but keeps it from drying out if placed on a higher temperature.

For a faster process: Place the product in a microwave-safe container.  Heat up the meat in 45-second intervals until desired warmness, stirring up between if chopped brisket or pulled pork.

Reheat

Sprinkle some water or saved sauce over the shrimp and then cover the dish with a microwave-safe lid or a plastic wrap. This will ensure that the reheated shrimp remains tender and doesn’t become rubbery. Put the dish in the microwave and adjust the heat setting to high. Let the shrimp reheat for about 2 minutes in 30 second intervals. Check after 1 minute.
